A2681 M2 2026-07-26 A Close Call A MacBook splashed near the screen loses all backlight. After a full clean, desoldering, an ultrasonic bath, and a new angle sensor, the screen lights back up - leaving only a few faint stains as a reminder of the spill. 
A2442 M1 Pro 2026-07-26 The Silent Short Circuit A completely dead MacBook, not even a single LED at power-up. A hunch confirmed with a multimeter leads to three faulty tantalum capacitors on the 12V rail. A targeted swap brings the Mac back to life. Component CC220 
A2681 M2 2026-07-15 MacBook Air M2: The macOS 26 DFU Bug That Blocks Restore An M2 MacBook wouldn't boot but appeared to charge normally. It entered DFU mode but wouldn't restore, ruling out the SSD despite it being the main suspect. Restoring to an older macOS version fixed it, though the client's data was lost. A2681 M2 2026-07-15 Two Faults, One Mac: Capacitor and Speaker Repair on a MacBook Air M2 MacBook Air M2 wouldn't turn on at all. Found and fixed a faulty component on the logic board causing the power issue, then discovered the left speaker was dead too, fixed by replacing another faulty part.
